Xiaomi Indonesia has just launched their latest tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 inch, in the Indonesian market. This tablet is priced around Rp 8 million and is aimed at the premium segment, differing from other more affordable Xiaomi and Redmi tablets.
According to Xiaomi, they are now the second-largest tablet player in Indonesia. This claim is supported by a survey conducted by Canalys, which shows that Xiaomi controlled the second-largest market share in Indonesia in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Xiaomi Indonesia’s Product Marketing Manager, Rendy Tonggo, revealed that this success is due to Xiaomi’s consistent efforts in bringing tablet products to the Indonesian market. Throughout 2023, Xiaomi launched three new tablets: two of which were the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad SE, while the other was a continuation of the Redmi Pad.
“We focused heavily on the tablet line last year, allowing us to become number two in the market,” said Rendy when met after the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 in Jakarta, Thursday (April 2, 2024).
Although he did not reveal which tablet was the best seller, Rendy mentioned that all Xiaomi tablet products have performed well in the market. According to him, users eagerly anticipate products from Xiaomi because they offer excellent value.
“All our products are good, people are always waiting for products from Xiaomi because they provide extraordinary value to users,” he said.
Furthermore, Rendy explained that each user has different needs. This is the reason why the three Xiaomi tablets launched in 2023 performed well in the market, because they were able to meet these various needs.
