With only a budget under one million rupiah, we can get a smartwatch whose features feel like they were stolen from flagship models a few years ago. Seriously, when I first tried it, I immediately thought, ‘Is this really all it costs?’ Technology is really going crazy, more and more people can experience sophistication without making their wallets cry. Well, this is what sometimes makes me confused. The line between cheap smartwatches and smartbands is getting very thin, especially in terms of design. For sports, I like to try different modes every time I run or go to the gym, and the data is quite consistent.
What’s even crazier is that some models can already receive call notifications and messages directly on the wrist! So if you’re in a meeting or focused on work, you don’t need to keep checking your phone. Music control? Just tap-tap on the watch. Then, the ‘find my phone’ feature is a real lifesaver for me who often forgets where I put my phone.
If you want to find the most worthwhile, I often look at brands like Haylou, Amazfit, or Xiaomi. They are long-time players who have proven to give the best value in this price segment. My experience, the quality is no joke for the price.
There’s a Price, There’s a Face? Compromises That Are Still Acceptable!
Okay, so I’m not accused of being too hyped, I want to be honest. There must be something sacrificed from this low price. My experience, the most noticeable is the lack of internal GPS. So, if you’re like me who loves to run and wants super accurate distance tracking, you have to bring your phone. But, for me, this isn’t a deal-breaker, because I usually run while listening to music from my phone.
In addition, the body material may not be as premium as those that cost millions, but it’s still solid and not fragile. Then, customizing the watch face or watch face is indeed a bit more limited, not as much as in high-end models. But that’s it, it goes back to the price.
