It’s crazy, GTA VI hasn’t even officially been released – though by August 2025, we’ve already gotten so much info and trailers that have hyped us up like crazy, right? – and yet, rumors about GTA 7 are already circulating on the timeline! Seriously, it makes me shake my head. Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has literally given a strong signal that the Rockstar Games team is already thinking about initial ideas for the next series. So, yes, even though it’s still super early and probably just at the ‘coffee-drinking’ and brainstorming stage, let’s call it GTA 7. This is what makes me so curious: where is this iconic franchise going to be taken?! The expectations are definitely beyond our current comprehension!
Super Smart NPCs & a World Alive with AI
GTA VI is expected to be a new benchmark for open-world realism and its world scale. Now, the expectations for GTA 7? It’s definitely crazy. I predict that AI will be the main game-changer. Imagine, NPCs (Non-Playable Characters) whose daily routines are truly dynamic, they remember our previous interactions, and their reactions to the chaos we create are super realistic. Not only that, maybe the AI can create sudden scenarios that are totally unpredictable, so every time you play it feels new. You’ll definitely like this too, bro/sis, because it will make the GTA world more alive and not boring at all. Interactions with NPCs will become more personal and the consequences of our actions will be more felt. It’s like playing a game but literally watching a film where we are the main character!
Dream Locations: Back to the Classics or Dare to Go to a New World?
Besides AI, location is always a heated debate among gamers. In GTA VI we’re going back to Vice City, whose vibes are already nostalgic but with a next-gen touch that’s breathtaking. Now, for GTA 7, I personally really want to see iconic cities like Liberty City or San Andreas completely remade with the latest technology. Can you imagine the detail, how dense those cities will be in the future console era? It must be crazy! But, there are also rumors that Rockstar might dare to create a totally new location, even outside the United States! London? Tokyo? Paris? Wow, if that happens, it’s mind-blowing, right? It will give fresh vibes that are different from the usual. But personally, I still stick with Liberty City or San Andreas, with an expanded map and more secrets to explore. It will be so much fun!
Future Technology & When Can We Play It?
Talking about next-gen, GTA 7 will definitely be a showcase for the next consoles: PlayStation 6 and next-gen Xbox. That means? Crazy graphics, ray tracing that makes water look real, world physics detail that really amazes us. Every leaf, every pebble, every splash of water, everything will have details that are beyond our current imagination. Rockstar’s development cycle is really long, we’re talking about dozens of years. So, don’t expect GTA 7 to appear before the early 2030s. But, one thing is for sure: Rockstar never fails to redefine the open-world genre. So, even though the wait is intriguing, I’m sure it will be worth it and will be the ultimate open-world experience that’s addictive. I’m so hyped!
